Contrary to rumours, Mrs Abhishek Bachchan will play Sarbjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur in the Mary Kom director Omung Kumar's next.
The film is based on the life story of Sarbjit, an Indian national convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court.
The film, co-produced by Sandeep Singh (Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ex CEO) and Zeishan Quadri, will go on floors soon.
The story of Sarbjit Singh's death had created a national ruckus and Dalbir's struggle to free her brother captured the nation's attention.
